Hello, I'm SilverCichlid! This site is mostly about
my first and only 180 gallon African cichlid aquarium, and the fish that I keep.
I created this site because of my passion for African cichlids and so others may
enjoy and learn about these fascinating little fish from Lake Malawi, part of the
Great Rift Valley in Africa.
African cichlids are adored for their beautiful
colours and patterns, along with their unique and interesting behavior. Known as
the "Fresh Water Marine" fish due to their striking colours, no wonder these
vibrant, lively, easy to care for fish are so popular from all around the world.
Hope you enjoy viewing my tank and the fish that stayed
still long enough to get their photo taken!
